At EKE-Electronics, we work to reduce the environmental impacts of our operations, products and supply chain. Our environmental programme includes improving energy efficiency, supporting product repairability and long service life and reducing emissions in cooperation with our suppliers. We continuously monitor and develop these activities as part of our environmental management process.
We support our customers’ sustainability goals with reliable solutions for next-generation propulsion systems, including hydrogen and battery-powered trains, backed by at least 20 years of lifecycle support and comprehensive repair services.
In 2026, at least 80% of the products sent to us are repaired rather than replaced.
How do our customers benefit ?
EKE-Trainnet® systems are applicable for next-generation propulsion systems such as hydrogen, battery-electric, and hybrid trains. Our TCMS platform can integrate with these propulsion technologies and manage transitions between power sources in hybrid configurations, such as switching between diesel and electric, or from catenary to battery-electric operation.
As hydrogen propulsion technology continues to develop, certain safety functions may require SIL-certified solutions. With proven SIL 2 capabilities and experience in safety-critical systems, EKE-Electronics is well positioned to support the implementation of any such requirements as they emerge.
How are EKE-Electronics' products and solutions becoming more sustainable?
At EKE-Electronics, instead of swapping electronics boards, we commit ourselves to repairing the products sent to us for service. By doing this, we gain unique feedback from the field about our product’s reliability and functionality. The collected real-life failure statistics back up the reliability EKE-Electronics promises for its products.
