RazorSecure Partners Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and EKE-Electronics to Strengthen Rail Cyber Security globally

RazorSecure has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V, and EKE-Electronics Ltd, that will see us deliver integrated solutions for securing digital rail operations globally.

As rail systems evolve and become more interconnected, the need for robust cyber security continues to grow. The partnership combines RazorSecure’s expertise in rail-specific cyber security, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation’s leadership of signalling and rail systems, and EKE-Electronics’ extensive expertise in rail technology. Together, we aim to address industry challenges by integrating these complementary areas of expertise. With customer demand for cyber security solutions rising in response to both national and international standards, this collaboration is essential to providing an integrated security solution for the most critical rail systems.

Key Areas of Collaboration

This collaboration will focus on three key areas: integrating products, developing joint services, and expanding market reach to help secure rail systems worldwide

Product Integration

RazorSecure’s product portfolio includes;

  • Security Gateway (SGW), a layer 7 firewall with rail protocols
  • Delta, a rail focused Intrusion Detection System (IDS)
  • Digital Maintenance Gateway (DMG), a secure remote access solution

All of which will be integrated with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and EKE-Electronics’ rail technology to deliver solutions that will continue to enhance rail safety, reliability, and compliance.

Joint Service Development

As partners, we will work together to develop expanded service offerings, including managed Security Operations Centres (SOCs). As part of this, we’re supporting the integration of Echo, our asset management platform, with SOC platforms, enabling real-time monitoring and response capabilities for rail operators.

Market Access

By combining our strengths, we plan to expand our presence in key markets such as Japan, the USA, Asia and other European markets to bring our cyber security solutions to a wider audience and support the increasing demand for secure rail operations globally.

Looking Ahead for Long Term Partnership

This partnership is about bringing together our collective expertise to address the growing challenges of rail cyber security. As rail systems become increasingly connected, the risks increase but so do the opportunities to collaborate to create improved cyber security solutions that focus specifically on protecting the rail environment.
