Flat Racks
EKE-Trainnet® Flat Racks are only available by request.
EKE-Trainnet® Flat Racks are designed to be used in trains where space is limited, for instance, trams and light rail vehicles. They also provide an alternative to Standard Rack dimensions and mounting mechanisms.
Key Features
EKE-Trainnet® Flat Racks come in 3U and 6U formats, either as a 12TE or 16TE wide rack. Thanks to their small sizes, they can be used in the vicinity of train systems, thus allowing savings by reducing cabling. They also have a power supply connector integrated at the back.
The number of free slots for both VME modules (CPUs, bus interface modules and HSA module) and I/O modules (all I/O modules except HSA) is mentioned in the technical specification. The space required for the power supply is already taken into account. Please note that in the 6U versions, there is no VME bus communication between the two rows of modules.
